A detail of the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer (1907) by Gustav Klimt is delineated on the surface of this porcelain Demitasse with saucer.

It took three years for Klimt to finish the first of two of Adele Bloch-Bauer (1881-1925), a refined workmanship cherishing Viennese salon woman, a benefactor and dear companion of the craftsman. The photo was painted in Vienna, where the craftsman lived and worked, and appointed by Adele's better half Ferdinand Bloch-Bauer, an affluent industrialist. She was the main model painted twice by Gustav Klimt. The first oil and gold on canvas has been alluded to as the last and most completely illustrative work of his brilliant stage.

The Espresso Cups with Saucers is completed with luxurious overlaying all with brilliant colors and gold decor.
